FP Sports App Privacy Policy

FP Sports (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws.

Data Protection Contact:
FP Sports does not process personal data types or engage in activities that would legally require the appointment of a Data Protection Officer (DPO) under Article 37 of the GDPR. Nevertheless, to ensure ongoing compliance and address privacy-related matters, we have engaged Ilya Shavrin as an external technical consultant. Ilya performs his tasks under a written agreement and is bound to process personal data exclusively on instructions from FP Sports, in full compliance with Article 28 of the GDPR and under strict confidentiality obligations. Although he is not a formally appointed DPO, he supports our data protection efforts as a technical and administrative advisor.

2. Categories of Personal Data Collected

We collect and process the following categories of personal data:
Name and surname
Email address
Password (encrypted)
Region
Username (if provided)
Authentication data (if using Apple ID or Google authentication)
Device and usage data (with your explicit consent, for analytics and troubleshooting)

We do not collect sensitive personal data such as health information or government IDs.

We may send you marketing communications such as newsletters, promotional offers, app updates, invitations to participate in surveys or beta tests, and information about our partners’ services (only if relevant to the FP Sports app). You will only receive such communications if you have given your explicit consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time via the app settings or by contacting customer.support@fpsports.online.

We will always seek your explicit consent for analytics and marketing communications, and you may withdraw your consent at any time.

5. Push Notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging, a service provided by Google LLC, to send push notifications to your device.

These notifications may include:
Match reminders
Live score updates
Group activity updates
App news and announcements

To deliver these notifications, Firebase may collect and process certain device-related information, including:
Device token (used to send notifications)
Device type and operating system
App version
Language and region settings

This data is used solely for delivering notifications and improving notification performance. It is not used to personally identify users.

Push notifications are only sent if you have granted permission on your device. You can manage or disable notifications at any time through:

6. Data Minimization and Accuracy

7. Data Recipients and Third-Party Disclosure

No data is sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes.
We use trusted service providers for:
Cloud hosting (Digital Ocean, servers in the Netherlands)

All service providers are contractually bound to process your data only as instructed by us and in compliance with GDPR requirements.

8. International Data Transfers

All user data is stored on Digital Ocean servers located in the Netherlands. We do not transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). If this changes in the future, we will implement appropriate safeguards and inform you accordingly.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy or as required by GDPR and Slovenian law. The retention periods vary depending on the type of data and its purpose:

Account data (email, password, etc.): until account deletion or 2 years after last activity
Authentication data (Apple ID, Google): same as account data
Preferences and region settings: until account deletion or withdrawal of consent
Support communication: up to 1 year after inquiry resolution
Crash reports and technical logs: up to 90 days
Consent records: 5 years after withdrawal or expiration
Tax/payment data (if applicable): 10 years after the fiscal year to which they relate
Children's data (if ever collected): immediately deleted upon detection if consent is not verifiable

When your data is no longer needed, it will be securely deleted or anonymized. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting customer.support@fpsports.online.

10. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including:
Encryption of passwords and sensitive data
Secure storage on Digital Ocean servers with regular security audits
Access controls and monitoring
Regular internal and external security checks

12. Children’s Privacy

Although there are no general age restrictions for using FP Sports, the app is not intended for children under the age of 16. If you are under 16, you must obtain verifiable permission from a parent or legal guardian before using the app. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16 without parental consent. If we become aware that such data has been collected inadvertently, we will promptly delete it. If you believe that a minor has provided us with personal data without appropriate consent, please contact us at customer.support@fpsports.online.

13. Automated Decision-Making

FP Sports does not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on users.

14. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority without undue delay, as required by GDPR.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or by email. The latest version will always be accessible within the app.
